I celebrated my 4oth birthday 10 days ago. It was a great day. My friend sent me this tiny little Lulie Wallace print on canvas, attached to a mini easel and stuck on a card. Hallmark is making them. It is so darn cute. I just love Lulie’s work and I wanted to play in my sketchbook. I had a lot of fun pretending to be her. ![]()

A few days later this lovely package arrived from Claire.

And in it was the GORGEOUS painting that I have coveted. LOVE! It has brightened my days since.

In other news, two days to go until Claire, Elisa and Barbara join me in painting every day. I have starting painting already on nothing other then paint chips. We are doing some painting in the house and I thought why not scoop up some of the chips to paint on.

I sanded them lightly first. I love that they are small. You can work quickly and if you screw up no big deal. I am looking forward to painting every day. You can jump in and out at any time really.

well first up – Happy Birthday! what great timing on my part!! Thanks for the mention. xx
Happy belated birthday, Dana!
Such lovely “good things”! Love Claire’s painting and that tiny canvas (I will have to look for those!).
I so wish I could join you guys for painting every day. It was wonderful the last time. My schedule’s just really full this month. I cannot wait to get back to my paints, though. I’m excited to see what you create (great idea to use the paint chips… might have to steal that).
Thank you Anne. Sorry you can’t paint along with us but I am excited to hear about all the good things this month is bringing you. And yes, the paint chips are very fun.
