The Declaration of You, published North Light Craft Books and available now, gives readers all the permission they’ve craved to step passionately into their lives, discover how they and their gifts are unique and uncover what they are meant to do! This post is part of The Declaration of You’s Blog Lovin’ Tour, which I’m thrilled to participate in alongside over 200 other creative bloggers. Learn more – and join us! – by clicking here.
This week the topic of the Blog Lovin’ Tour is success. I have to admit it is a hard one for me, right now. Kids fighting, laundry to be folded and put away, and the frig needs to be replenished again. Creative time has been diminished and I am worn out by the end of the day. In many instances I don’t feel “successful” at all. And I guess that leads me to “simple success”. The little (to me big) things that I can say I feel good about, that I care about, that are meaningful. I think right now that is my Declaration of Success. Simple Success.
Waking up and saying “thank you”.
Getting to knit a few rows before bed. (I am getting a bit better )
Daydreaming of taking this class. I know this isn’t a “success” but I wanted to share it with you in case you are interested.
Kindness, to myself and others.
Doing my best.
Teaching “crafternoons” and witnessing the kids having a good time.
Recognizing when frustration is coming and taking a breath.
Choosing to laugh instead of getting angry.
Realizing breaks are o.k. (this is a hard one).
Here is a little bit about the book from the site.
Let Jess, Michelle and Pierre François Frédéric help you uncover your own definitions / ideas / values / perspective around enthusiasm, success, uniquity (yes, that’s a made up word – we do it often and encourage it!), intention, self-care, success, money, celebration, and trust – all leading you to The Declaration of You! Through a series of creative, colorful exercises — questions to get the wheels turning and an encouraging kick in the pants — you will get all the permission you crave to step passionately into your life, discover how you and your gifts are unique, and uncover what you are meant to do!
It looks really great, is out now and is on my wish list.
